Diana Smith Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 16, 2025.
Diana Rose (Utchman) Smith 72, of Conroe, TX, passed away on August 16, 2025. Born on August 30, 1952 in Salem, AR. Diana dedicated her life to nurturing and caring for others, both as a nurse and a caregiver, reflecting her deep love and commitment to Christ.

Diana was a compassionate soul, cherished by everyone who knew her. Her life was marked by her loving nature and her devotion to her family and faith. She was actively involved in her community and was a long-standing member of Hammonds Chapel Baptist Church and Beech Street Baptist Church in Gurdon, AR and recently The Ark Church in Conroe TX.

She is survived by her daughter, Diatra Smith; son, Nathan Smith; daughter-in-law, Carrie Smith; grandsons, Zane Hercules, Dylan Smith, Clayton Smith, and Colin Smith; Aunt Vera; brothers, Eddie Ucthman and Tommy Kuhn; and cousins, Art Craig, Harold Cook, Keith Craig, Linda Black, Lori Hillje, Tanya Cooper and Trinket Craig. Diana was preceded in death by her grandmother, Evelyn Craig; mother, Lou Kuhn; brother, James Utchman; and brother Gregory Kuhn.

Diana's hobbies included knitting blankets for family members, especially for newborns, a testament to her ever-present care and thoughtfulness. She cheated at UNO and Phase 10 but it was a lot more fun than a regular game. Many laughs were had at card tables over the years. She was raised by tough Craig ladies and always had a "Craig Way" of telling a story.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Smith Home on her Birthday.

Prayers to Dianna's family.
Many Cherished Memories and fun times playing phase 10. Dianna could tell some stories and her little snicker laugh was special. Always was showing me her nails when I'd stop by always a bright color. Going to miss stopping by to visit but will always think back on the visits we had. She always knew the scoop of her community. I don't think she missed anything.
