Diane Rosena Blevins, age 77, of Hale, passed away on Nov. 29, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born December 22, 1944 in Ypsilanti, to the late Thomas Charles and Rosena (Kruger) Green. Diane was a resident of Hale since 2001 and former resident of Walled Lake.
On July 8, 1967 she married the love of her life, Rondell Blevins. They celebrated over 55 years together and had a wonderful son, Steven. She had a bachelor's degree in education and master's degree in special education. She taught in the Walled Lake school system for 27 years and retired in 1995.
During her life in Hale, Diane belonged to the Daughters of American Revolution (DAR), the Red Hat Society, and the Plainfield Historical Commission. Her favorite hobbies were studying genealogy, gardening, sewing and quilting, along with playing the violin.
Diane is survived by her husband, Ron; son, Steven Blevins, his wife, Angie Chrusciel of Minnesota and their son, grandchild, Arden Chrusciel. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation services for Diane are scheduled for Friday Dec. 2, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Buresh Funeral Home in Hale. Funeral service is on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m., at Hale First United Methodist Church. Internment follows at noon at Esmond Evergreen Cemetery, followed by a luncheon back at the church. Officiating Saturday's funeral is Pastor Jim Britt.
