Diane Beatrice "Diane" Bloom

Diane Beatrice Bloom, peacefully passed away on November 12, 2023, in Lauderhill, Florida, at the age of 90. She was born on March 15, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York, a city she always considered her home. Diane was a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, and sister.

Diane's journey began in Brooklyn, where she attended Thomas Jefferson High School and later pursued her passion for the arts at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. Eventually, she made her way to San Francisco, where she married and started a family. Diane had a deep appreciation for photography and painting, and she would often take her young daughter on adventures around San Francisco. As her daughter grew older, they shared special moments together, watching Broadway plays and musicals. However, Diane found her greatest joy in doting on her grandchildren, whom she lovingly cared for during their childhoods.

A consummate Jewish mother, Diane always ensured the safety and well-being of her loved ones. She never let anyone leave the room without insisting that they "drive carefully" and ensuring they had eaten enough. Her nurturing nature and warm presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Bloom, her parents Morris and Molly Berger, and her sisters Joyce Schiff and Sandy Pakula. She is survived by her daughter Felicia Holcomb, her grandson Nicolas Holcomb, her granddaughter Alyssa Holcomb, her sister Cynthia Nalven, her brother Jeffrey Berger, and many nieces and nephews. Diane's bright smile and blue eyes, as described in her senior yearbook quote, will forever light up the skies.

Services to honor Diane's life will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Alexander-Levitt Funeral Home located at 8135 West McNab Rd., Tamarac, FL 33321. Family, friends, and loved ones are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Diane's life during this time of remembrance.
