Kim, Curt, Jimmy,
I just found out and am so sad to hear of Diane's death. I missed her friendship terribly and wished it to be different. She loved her family so much. Brooke and CJ were the lights of her life, she was so proud of them!
We had so many good times together. Shopping, going to lunch, movies, shopping, talking and lest I forget, shopping.
Diane was passionate about teaching her faith and she was so creative about doing so.
I still miss her.

I attended RCIA with Diane as the advisor/trainer/teacher and listener. She was so proud of her position with the church and she was the perfect person for that job. She had so much more she wanted to accomplish. The church and its followers will greatly miss her.

Diane was such an inspiration to me. I am at a loss of words at the shocking news of her passing. She was a friend, teacher, mentor. I will miss her smile and enthusiasm, and her always evident love of scripture and her faith! I am so thankful we stayed in touch after she left St. Barnabas! Rest in Peace, Diane...I know you have heard your Lord say "Well Done, Good and Faithful Servant". My thoughts and prayers go out to her family...she loved you all so much!!

Shortly after my wife and I were first married I attended RCIA classes at another parish and was turned off so didn't continue. After moving to Tallmadge I attended RCIA classes at OLV taught by Diane which I enjoyed, got a lot out of, completed, and joined the church as a result. I have told many people frankly if it were not for Diane and Father John I likely would not have joined the church. I will miss her.

Her strong faith, spirituality, and creativity inspired me to become a catechist many years ago, and for that I am much more than grateful. As the prayer of St. Francis teaches us, “It is in dying we are born to eternal life.” Rejoice!

We had the blessed fortune to benefit from Diane's ministry in many ways at St. Rita Church.
She was a powerhouse of Christian energy and it was contagious. She initiated many programs that are still in existence in our Parish today.
One day as we were sitting in my back yard we talked about Heaven. Her eyes sparkled and her smile broadened as she described what it may be like. She was filled with joy and excitement at that moment. She brought the light of Christ to so many. May she be filled with that light now and may her family feel the peaceful presence of God through our prayers.

I, too, am a certified pastoral minister/lay ecclesial minister in the Diocese of Cleveland. Over 12-13 years ago, I had Diane as an instructor for many of my classes in order to achieve my Master Cathechist certification from the diocese. Later on, after I went to the Diocesan Marriage and Family Life Office, I had the privledge once again of working with Diane. She was always so gracious and welcoming to me when I needed a place to host diocesan programming. Actually, I just hosted a diocesan bereavement class at Our Lady of Victory last August (2012). Dianne was always so gracious to me for making sure that diocesan programming made it to the Akron/Tallmadge/Summit area of the diocese. She will forever be in my heart. I will be praying for the parish community of Our Lady of Victory, as well as all of her family and friends. Our diocesan community also grieves the loss of Diane. May her memory be eternal.

Diane was totally dedicated to religious education .
She was a bundle of enthusiasm when it came to children.
My years at Holy Family with her , while we worked on liturgies with children ,provided me and my family forever memories.
No amount ow work was too much for Diane when it came to bringing a liturgy to life. From props to allowing as many children as possible to be involved. The children proclaimed the readings and acted out the Gospel. It was all about the children and helping them understand the message. That was what Diane was all about, bringing the Gospel to life for the children.
Adults used to favor those special children's liturgies. They were easy for all to follow and understand. I loved her spirit!

To Diane's Family: I was shocked to hear of her passing but feel so blessed to have worked with her on many occassions at OLV and to witness her love and dedication to her family and her faith family. I always enjoyed the smile and joy she exibited when RCI candidates were initiated into the church on Easter. May your cherished memories guide you through this extremely difficult time and for the years to come. God Bless.

I will never forget Diane's plea for PSR teachers from the lectern at OLV several years ago. As I sat in the congregation, I felt as though she were speaking directly to me and, although I had taken some time off from teaching, I returned that year to the education ministry as a second grade instructor. She commented to me later that she also felt the connection when our eyes met during her speech that day, and she knew that I would step up to volunteer. Diane's enthusiasm, devotion, and love of others will be deeply missed.
