Diane Rankin Obituary
Waynesboro - Diane Marie (Stilley) Rankin, 66, of Waynesboro passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 at her home.
Born November 26, 1951 in Staunton, she was the daughter of the late James L. Stilley and Dorothy M. (Bottenfield) Stilley Buchholz.
Diane was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. She retired from Augusta Health after 35 years of faithful service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Floyd C. Stilley; four uncles; and two aunts.
Survivors include her loving husband, Gary A. Rankin; brothers, James L. Stilley, III and wife, Elisabeth of Puyallup, WA; sister, Hazel S. Moran and husband, William of Waynesboro; four nephews, James L. Stilley IV of Traverse City, MI, D. Tate Stilley of Corpus Christi, TX, Andrew L. Ocheltree of Stuarts Draft and Jacob L. Stilley of Washington, Va; niece, Kathleen O. Jeremiah of Richmond, Va; seven great and three great-great nieces and nephews; two uncles, Herman Bottenfield and wife, Carol of Elizabeth, WV and Bryan Bottenfield and wife, Betty of New Hope, Va; two aunts, Mildred Doyle of Roanoke, Va and Jackie Bottenfield of Churchville, Va; and many cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., with The Rev. Benjamin R. Badgett officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Diane always remembered me and all of the family whenever we ran into each other usually at the hospital. I am very sorry to hear of her passing.

Gary, Hazel and family, we are so sorry for your loss. Diane had a beautiful spirit. She always had a welcoming smile Sunday mornings at St Johns. She will be missed.
