Dirk LEMCKERT Obituary
LEMCKERT, Dirk Jan (aka Dick or Opa) August 12th, 1950 - July 24th, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Husband, Father, Son, Opa and Brother. Survived and lovingly remembered by his wife of 32 years Barbara, Son Andrew (Tu-Anh) and daughters Holly (Eugene) and Claire (Erik), Adored grandchildren Chloe, Aidan and Jacob. Predeceased by his father Nicholaas and survived by his mother Andrina. Dick leaves behind many family members, good friends and colleagues. He will be forever loved and missed, but not forgotten. A celebration of Dick's life will be held on Friday, August 5th 2011 at 2:00pm at Valley View Funeral Home 14660 72 Avenue, Surrey. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart and Stroke foundation would be appreciated.

I will never forget that wonderful laugh, the many miles spent motorcycling and the times (oh so few of them) spent golfing too.

DICK- Sorry to see you leave us so early. It has been a great pleasure working with you in the "Glove Wars" over the years. Plus spending time with you at NIGDA & IGA conventions around N. America. Salmon fishing off the Wash. coast was fun, but I really enjoyed taking my boat out here in Tacoma for a sunny afternoon of bar-hopping. Great times. We will miss you at North Star Glove Co.
