Dixie Lee Walker

Dixie Lee Walker, age 69 of Watson, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 in Mena. She was born September 12, 1944 in Winfield, Ohio to the late James Millfield Hartley and Esther Williams Hartley. She was married to the late Larry Merle Walker and was a loving homemaker. Dixie was a member of the Mena Church of God World Wide Association. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by: Sons: Mike Walker and wife Dana of Atlanta, Georgia . Jasper Hartley and wife Terisia of Vandervoort, Arkansas Daughter: Barbara Bellone and husband Peter of Watson, Oklahoma Six grandchildren and four great grandchildren Brothers: Jim Hartley and wife Toni of Columbus, Ohio Gary Hartley and wife Frances of Sallisaw, Oklahoma Bobby Hartley and wife Charlotte of Wickes, Arkansas Lonnie Hartley of Meridan, Mississippi She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Esther Hartley, husband, Larry Merle Walker, brother, Eddie Hartley, and sisters, Clara Mae Hartley and Elaine Hartley. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 1, 2014, 10:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Nazarene Church in Cove with Brother Gary Hartley and Brother Bob Hartley officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove cemetery in Cove under the direction of the Beasley Wood Funeral of Mena. Family and friends visitation will be Monday, March 31, 2014 from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at Beasley Wood Funeral Home.
