Dolores A. Fried, 84 years old, passed away Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at her home in Oberlin, Ohio, after a long illness.
Dolores was born in Sloan, N.Y., on Oct. 9, 1933, to parents Theodore and Josephine Kwiatkowski and grew up in Buffalo, N.Y. She married Donald D. Fried in 1953 and together they lived in Buffalo, where they began to raise their three children: Laurence, Katherine, and Morris.
After the children entered elementary school, the Fried family moved to Wilson, N.Y. In addition to raising her children, Dolores worked outside the home, first as a bookkeeper but then as a registered nurse. For many years she was an obstetrics charge nurse at the Newfane, N.Y., hospital.
After retiring, Dolores and Don moved to Oberlin to be near their daughter Katherine and her family. Don passed away in 2009.
Dolores was a strong, determined, generous, and loving woman. She adored her children and grandchildren. Dolores loved reading, many crafts, and sports, especially those that family members were involved in.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Don; her parents; and her sisters Lorraine DeWind and Arlene Rachwal. Dolores is survived and greatly missed by her son, Laurence Fried, his wife, Sheri Fried, and their daughters Elizabeth Fried and Kathryn Fried of Livermore, Calif.; her daughter, Katherine Bosch, her husband, Robert Bosch, and their son, Dima Bosch of Oberlin; and her son, Morris Fried, his wife, Kim Fried, their daughter Bethany Fried, and their son Daniel Fried of Cheektowaga, N.Y.

I worked with Delores at newfane icmh....I still have the mug she gave me when I had my son 40 years ago!
I thought of her often, attempted to find her and reconnect but never happened
So sorry .....she spoke so much about her 3 children (all teenagers back then)and we worked the midnight shift......
She was a wonderful person and I know she was pleased with every success her children accomplished.....big or small....
My condolences to you all.......
