CONNEAUT LAKE — Dolores (Dolly) Anne Kliber, 65, of 11464 N. Watson Run Road, Conneaut Lake, passed away Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at home.She was born in Baltimore, Md., Dec. 26, 1943, the daughter of the late James Augustine and Anna Norick Kavanagh. On Aug. 12, 1967, she married Thomas Charles Kliber; he survives.She had been a member of St. Phillip's Roman Catholic Church, Crossingville, for 30 years where she volunteered as a CCD teacher. She also attended  St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, Meadville.In 2007, Dolly retired from University Hospitals Conneaut Medical Center of Conneaut, Ohio, formerly known as Brown Memorial Hospital, where she had been employed as a registered medical technologist since 1991. She previously had been employed by Camboro Veterinary Hospital, Edinboro.Following her 1960 high school graduation from St. Benedict's Academy of North Hills, she went on to further her education by graduating from both Duquesne University in 1965 and St. Benedum School of Medical Technology in 1966. She was a 40-year member of the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP); a former member of PENNCREST School Board; and a 4-H volunteer. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan who enjoyed gardening, crocheting and doing needlework.She is survived by five children, Jen Kliber of Meadville, Allison Kliber and her husband, Scott Stickney, of Butler, Ardis Kliber and her husband, Christopher Hughes, of Meadville, Thomas Kliber of Conneaut, Ohio, and Erin Watts and her husband, Jason, of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren Beatrix, Anabel, Peter, Martin, Nolan and Margaret; two sisters, Rita Fulvio and her husband, Larry, of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Marian Scheinholtz of Columbia, Md.; two brothers, Michael Kavanagh and his wife, Barb, of Delmar, N.Y., and Ed Kavanagh and his wife, Michele, of Wexford; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Kavanagh.Calling hours are today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where a Scripture service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, Meadville, with Father Raymond Gramata, pastor, as celebrant.Interment will take place in St. James Cemetery, Crossingville.Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Riverwalk Corp. Center, 333 E. Carson St., Suite 441 Pittsburgh, Pa. 15219; or Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine St., Meadville, Pa. 16335.Condolences may be e-mailed to [email protected].

I had the honor of working with Dolly just before she retired from Conneaut Medical Center. My deepest sympathy to her family.

Jenny, Allison, Ardis, Tommy, Erin, and Family,

Please accept my sympathy for your loss. I will always remember the good old fair times. We lost Mom 2 years ago next month and still feels like yesterday. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
