DI PIETRO. - Dominic (Don). 17.02.1922 - 26.07.2012 Aged 90 Don passed away at South Eastern Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Adored husband of Sylvia. Much loved father of Nina, Joe, Yolanda and Julie. Revered and respected father- in-law to Geoff and Kim. Treasured Nonno of Tara and Neil and Luke, Danielle and Tim, Joshua and Heather and Julian, Mia and Adam and Ty, and great grandchildren Joel and Oscar Schyer, Arabella Scott and Angus Dominic Di Pietro. Loving "Big Brother" to Grace and brother-in-law to Ralph. To my darling Don, from the moment we met, I loved you, I put my trust in you and you never wavered in your love for me. We built our lives together, we took the same path and had a wonderful journey. When the time comes we will be together once again in each others arms my darling husband. - Sylvia. Dad taught me to be optimistic, generous, questioning and resilient. He nurtured my children and he made me laugh. I admired his strength and forgave him his weaknesses. I will miss his cheeky smile and love him forever. - Nina. My loving father, my business mentor, fishing and shooting mate, life coach, story teller extraordinaire. I will so miss having a beer with you. You made me the person I am today. We will all miss you so much. - Joe. Our darling Dad and Nonno, you were our rock, our strength. You taught us respect and you gave us hope when we thought there was none. We will miss your grin, your stories and even those lecturers. The pride in your eyes will forever be in our hearts. - Yolanda, Geoff, Ty and Mia. Dad, once I thought we had nothing in common but I came to realise we had much in common - no fear in expressing an opinion, strength of will, unwavering belief in what is right, an independent nature and of course a wicked sense of humour. You were larger than life and I loved you. - Julie. Don, I will miss our spirited political debates and I have many memories of when we were kids and growing old together. Rest in peace dear brother - Grace. My beautiful Nonno, so like a father to me. My rock, my teacher. Grandfather-in-law to Neil and great grandfather to Joel and Oscar. Fond memories and love.
