Donald Preston Cook, known affectionately as "Papa Don," passed away on April 3, 2020, in Jacksonville, FL, at the age of 77. Born on June 1, 1942, in Baltimore, Maryland, Donald led a vibrant life marked by his charismatic presence and a passion for living on his own terms.

Papa Don served proudly in the Navy, where he embraced the discipline and camaraderie that military life offered. His service was characterized by a dedication that reflected his robust and lively spirit. After his time in the Navy, Donald pursued a career that aligned perfectly with his personal passions. He was immersed in the world of fast cars, a reflection of his dynamic personality and his love for speed and excitement.

Beyond his professional life, Donald was known as the life of the party. His ability to make everyone laugh and his joyful demeanor were truly infectious. He was also a passionate singer, often serenading friends and family with his favorite tunes, adding music and joy to their gatherings. His love for cars extended into his personal hobbies as well, where he spent countless hours tinkering with and talking about cars.

Donald's legacy is carried on by his daughter, Donna Cook, and his granddaughter, Khaniya Cook, whom he loved very much. His life was a vivid tapestry of joy, laughter, and an unyielding zest for life, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. Papa Don will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a man who truly lived life to the fullest.
