Donald L. "Uncle Don" Dever

Donald L. ‘Uncle Don’ Dever 63; Vietnam War Air Force veteran Donald L. “Uncle Don” Dever, 63, of New Albany, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany. He was a Vietnam War veteran of the United States Air Force and volunteer at the VA Medical Center in Louisville. Survivors include his sister-in-law and caregiver, Criselda O. Dever; four nephews, John L. Piacheco and wife Karen, Phillip S. Dever and wife Penny, Duane R. Dever and Michael L. Dever and wife Shantel; and 11 great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervie and Martha Dever; and a brother, Larry Dever. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was cremated and his ashes buried at New Albany National Cemetery in New Albany. Visitation was held at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany.
