Donald John Donahue Sr., 87, of Dryad passed away peacefully on Sunday,
Jan. 20th, 2008 at St. Joseph Hospital in Tacoma. Donald was born in Dryad,
WA on June 29, 1920 and was a lifelong resident of Dryad.
Donald served his country in the army during World War II and worked for Weyerhaeuser for 35 years as a logger before retiring.
Donald is survived by his wife of 63 years Dolores, sons Richard Donahue and wife Fontene of Bellingham, Donald (Skip) Donahue Jr. and wife Darlene of Dryad, Doug Donahue and wife Bambi of Centralia, daughter Dorothy Capps and husband Ken of Pe Ell and stepson Paul Werner and wife Pat of Missouri, twelve grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Donald was preceded in death by daughter Diane Peterson in 2005.
At his request there will be no services. Remembrances may be made to the Dryad Fire Department/Ambulance Fund c/o: Lewis County Fire District 16

To the Donahue Family, my condolences. Don was a great guy who will be missed by all who knew him. He was also a member of the "Greatest Generation" that saved the world during WW2.
