DONALD G. MACKENZIE - a resident of Port Chester, NY and formerly of Greenwich, died October 12, 2007. He was 76 and was born February 27, 1931 in Greenwich to the late George and Helen Matthews MacKenzie. He was raised and educated in Greenwich, CT and graduated from Greenwich High School. He served in the United States Army from 1952-1954. Mr. MacKenzie was a retired Asbestos worker for Local 91 in Westchester. He was married to Patricia Clancy in 1968 in Port Chester. Mrs. MacKenzie died October 13, 2001. Mr. MacKenzie was a 50 year member and past Captain of Brooksville Engine & Hose Co. of the Port Chester Volunteer Fire Department. He was a devoted parishioner of the Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester and was active helping with the church bingo. Mr. MacKenzie is survived by his son Peter MacKenzie, daughters Diane Gumpel and husband Stephen of Wappingers Falls, NY, Donna MacKenzie of Monroe, CT, Debra Vaccaro and husband Craig of LaGrange, NY, Colleen Marando and husband Steve of Monroe, NY and Heather Rinello and husband Joseph of Port Chester, NY, brother John MacKenzie of Greenwich, CT, sisters Sue O'Hara of Foxboro, MA, and Carol Smith of Fairfield, CT. 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was also predeceased by his sister Jean Fogg. Visitation will be 5-8PM on Sunday October 14, 2007 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Monday October 15, 2007 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 260 Westchester Ave, Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Rye Brook, NY.
