Donald Clay Myers, a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and educator, peacefully passed away on August 18, 2024, at the age of 87. He was surrounded by his loving family in hospice care. Born on July 17, 1937, in Covington, Kentucky, Donald was a steadfast family man. His commitment to his loved ones was the cornerstone of his life. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, dedication, and service. Donald was the beloved husband of Janet Young Myers, with whom he shared 68 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they traveled extensively throughout the United States. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Clay Myers and Martha Willoughby Myers, his son, Timothy Myers, and his granddaughter, Jennifer. Donald is survived by his devoted wife, Janet; his loving daughters, Cheryl and Michele (Daniel) Cleary; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at 2:30 PM at the Amanda Methodist Church, 200 East High Street, Amanda, Ohio 43102. The service will be officiated by Pastor Gerald Mershimer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cornerstone Hospice & Palliative Care, 601 Mariposa Way, The Villages, FL 32162, in honor of Donald Myers. Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home of Leesburg, Florida.
