Donald Newhouse Obituary
Rejoicing that he is now in heaven and no longer suffering.
He was born in Holland to Robert and Lyda Newhouse. And graduated from Holland High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents and only brother Dale and his wife Rosie.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Laurie. And sons Doug and (Laurie), Dave and (Maria), Dan and (Denise). And sister in law Leslie Smith. Along with grandchildren Emily and (Josh), Tucker and (Sharon), Heather and (Jesse), Nate and (Kim), Bethanie and (Adam), Matthew, Makala and Hannah. Great grandchildren Reagan, Tati, Desmond, Tyla, Jesslynn , and Charles. His family was everything to him.
He was a veteran for two years during the Korean conflict. Soon after he became an Ottawa county deputy serving for 33 years.
After retirement he spent his days playing golf and wintering in Florida, where he took up wood carving. His carvings were a work of art.
Don and Laurie were blessed to visit many foreign countries during their marriage, a favorite being Israel.
Don is also remembered by many nieces and Nephews and great friends.
A celebration of life will take place on Thursday June 1st at Family Church 9530 Woodbridge St. Zeeland from 3:00 to 6:00.

I have many great memories of Thanksgiving Day meals and Christmas gatherings and even the school house cabin up north with my Uncle Don and Aunt Laurie and cousins Doug, Dave, and Dan. We all believe he´s now rejoicing in heaven with family members gone before him and especially with my parents Dale & Rosie.
