thoughts our with you on this sad occasion. Only the good die young, and Don certainly fought against all odds till the very end. he is out of pain now and can rest in peace. He was always welcoming and would do anything to please those around him, he would never let anyone down, if he made a promise to you, he would do his best to keep it, right up to the end. He performed ceremonies and when he was no longer able, made sure his friends were not let down. He thoughts were for everyone else, and making sure their happiness came before his. our memories of you will be forever in our hearts, gone but not forgotten. love from all of us x

Don was a wonderful person, caring, compassionate and a great source of strength to Christine. They both truly cared about each other and during I spent with them both at the hospital 3-4 weeks ago, it was obviously how in love they were.

Don's loss is felt with great sadness here on earth but on his arrival in heaven I'm sure he was greeted with joy. The world has lost a great person who would have continued to make his presence felt in the most positive way. Don loved people and always tried to help them, and listen to them, when he was able. People like Don don't come along every day and those who knew him were all the better for knowing him.

RIP Don - rest easy.

Dearest Christine,

Such wonderful fond memories we have of Don, the visits Ian and myself made to Texas over the years encountering his special charm, charisma and worldly interests.
For Don and yourself to make the driving trip to Florida in 2007 to see Peggy & Jim is a true testament to the souls you both were.

We cherish the years we knew Don and will for ever be in our hearts as his spirit lives on.
Christine my oldest dearest friend we love you.
Always from your family Susan, Ian Neil and the late Peggy & Jim Gilfillan.

Christine,

It's with a warm heart and a smile that I write this message to you. In the short 6 months we've know you and Don I am amazed out how much we love you both. As I told Don 48 hours before his passing that I loved him like a Dad, and that I was so thankful to God for letting me love him like that... Don's eyes teared up and he told me he loved me and that I was so special to him. I loved how he called John "little Buddy" and how his eyes lite up when he saw him the last time. And how happy he was to know that John had made him so much art work for the hospital room. It is truly a magical relationship that got to share with him. He will always be part of our journey in this life, and until we see again in Eternity. Colossians 3:1-7 ...you have been raised with Christ Jesus, set your hearts on things above. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. --love you both, Abigail and John.

In Loving Memory of Don,
Sadly we never had the opportunity to meet,
But we know you were a kind, caring and considerate man,
And a loving husband to dear cousin Christine.
Taken too soon from us,
But assured you are now in the safe arms of God x
May you Rest in Peace x

God be my head,
And in my understanding,
God be in my eyes,
And in my looking,
God be in my mouth,
And in my speaking,
God be in my heart,
And in my thinking,
God be at mine end,
And at my departing.
Amen
Love from
Dianne,Barry ,Natalie,Andy,Cathy and Auntie May xxxxx
