Donald Walter Schults

October 9, 1931 - July 27, 2025

Donald Walter Schults was born in San Francisco in 1931 and moved to Utah when he was 10 years old. Don passed away at home on July 27, 2025, at the age of 93.

Don was a faithful husband who married his Granite High School sweetheart, Norma LeCheminant, the love of his life. Together, they built a warm and loving home, one that stood strong for over 60 years. Within those walls, he taught his family the enduring values of love, honesty, and a strong work ethic.

A tireless worker, dedicated provider, and a tremendous saver, Don worked every possible overtime shift, day or night, and that unwavering commitment to hard work allowed him to retire from Amoco Oil at the age of 55.

Don loved trolling a flatfish at the Strawberry Reservoir, hunting deer in Trout Creek Canyon, golfing at Round Valley with family and friends, or tending to his garden. Don found tremendous joy in the great outdoors. He truly cherished time with his family, whether at his cabin on the Strawberry, along the Oregon coast, relaxing in San Felipe, Mexico, or simply gathered around a card table or playing the penny slots. He lived life fully, quietly spreading love and joy, looking for every opportunity to tell his family how much he loved them.

He was preceded in death by his loving and adoring wife, Norma; his big-hearted son, Robert; and his strong and gentle grandson, Nate Andrews. He is survived by his children: Jennie Andrews, Susanne Gardner (John), Greg Schults (Judy), Will Schults (Cindy), and Mark Schults (Julie); 14 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren, all of whom loved him dearly.

May the gentle breezes that drift through the quaking aspens of Trout Creek Canyon and embrace the rippling waters of the Strawberry, forever whisper his name.

Now with Mom... forever dancing!
