Donald Mathias Seger Jr.

PHOENIX - Donald Mathias Seger Jr. (71) passed away on 07/24/25 in Phoenix, Arizona. Don was born in Cook County Chicago, Illinois on August 7, 1953. His parents, Don and Betty Seger, and his sister Gail moved to Arizona in 1956. They lived across the street from his Aunt Barbara Rupp's family (cousins Glen and Tom). Don attended Ingleside school and St. Theresa school during his elementary years. He attended Gerard High School, and graduated May 1971. He entered the United States Navy in 1971. Don served on the U.S.S. Midway. The Midway just celebrated it's 50th Anniversary of Operation April 27, 2025. Don met Sachiko, and they married (1977). They had three children. Don also completed a college degree at Scottsdale Community College using his Government Scholarship. Don, and his parents Betty and Don Sr. started a new company Seger Building Materials in 1983. Don's primary job was as an estimator for building and sales. After Don's divorce, he married Lisa Conti. They had two children. Don was blessed with 5 grandchildren as well. Don loved sports, especially the Dodgers and Diamondbacks. He also loved music, especially Fleetwood Mac/Rumors. When the weather wasn't too hot he enjoyed trying to catch a fish or two. Don was a hard worker and loved his family fiercely. He will be greatly missed. Don leaves behind his wife Lisa; their daughters Priscilla and Valorie and grandchildren Nolan and Skylar; Don's daughter's Jessica, Janel and son Jeffrey and their mother Sachiko and their grandchildren Elijah, Jaelyn and Andrew; Siblings Mary, Jim and Angie; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He is predeceased by his parents Don Sr. and Betty Seger and sister Gail Erickson. There will be a Celebration of Life at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona on August 25 @ 9 a.m.. 2929 E Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024
