I wanted to extend my belated condolences about the passing of Mr. Toomey. He was a good friend of my Dad, Will Doyle (BFD Ladder 29). My Dad passed in 2015, and had lived at Linden Ponds for 9 years. That's where I met Donald. What a wonderful, kind man he was.
Every single time he saw us on our weekly Thursday night visits, he'd stop a while to talk with us. And he always made a point to talk with my son Damian, who was 2 years-old when my parents moved to Linden Ponds in 2006. He saw Damian grow up, and was always asking about school or his soccer team. I've missed seeing him since my Dad died, and am disappointed that I missed this obituary when Donald passed. I always loved seeing him at dinner and will remember him fondly.

I have fond memories of the whole Toomey clan, including hockey in the basement and Mr. Toomey playing Irish records for us. I am sorry I was not able to get to the service, and offer deepest condolences to all his family.

we are all so sorry to hear of Mr. Toomey's passing. We have so many happy memories of Alexander Road in Braintree MA and Mr. Toomey was one of them. We missed seeing him at Mass lately and will keep him and all of your family in our prayers all of the time.
