Donna Jones Obituary
Donna was born January 12, 1944 in Newton, MA, to the late Harry R. Lavers and Doris M. Drummond.
Donna received her nursing degree from the Newton-Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing in 1965. She diligently served others with the utmost care as a registered nurse in the Boston, MA, and Cape Cod, MA areas.
Donna loved fresh ocean air, flowers, politics, Hallmark movies, and a good book. She enjoyed visits to Nubble Light in York, ME, and Disney World. Donna had an interest in archaeology and volunteered at the Cape Cod National Seashore. As a dog lover, she adored her spaniels. Donna cherished her family and grandchildren, and she loved each of them dearly.
In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Jones, and her sister, Carole A. Taylor.
Surviving to honor Donna's memory is one son, Eric C. Jones (Liz Rank Jones) of Lansing, IA; one daughter, Susan J Griffin (Dr. Joseph L Griffin Jr.) of Florence, SC; and five grandchildren, Ashley Griffin, Hannah Griffin, Rhianna Jones, Brendan Jones, and Daniel Jones.
A service will be held at Massachusetts National Cemetery on Friday, September 9, 2022.
