Donna Kasper (nee Pells) Obituary
June 28th, 1953 - March 13, 2025
Donna went to be with God on March 13, 2025, after a long battle multiple chronic health conditions. Also known as Duck, Mom, Gramma Dee, and Auntie Munchkin, Donna was 71 years old when she passed away peacefully at home.
Upon her death, she was reunited with her daughters, Chris Keiser and Jill Frederick; sister-in-law Debbie Kasper; best friends Linda Anderson and Sandy Bennett; nephew Nicholas Rullo; and faithful dog Stella.
Donna is remembered by her daughter, Nicole (Chris) Dick; granddaughter Caitlin Wiebusch; her Mom and Pops, Dorothy and Roy Smith; brother Bill (Judy) Klein; sister Sue (George) Pollingue; nieces Tina Kasper, Lisa Hennin, Jackie (Kevin) Jones-Wagila, and Morgan Hennin; nephews Joe (Sarah) Klein, Steve Wagila, Steven Jones-Wagila, Ethan Hennin, Santiago and Gabriel Gonzalez; in-laws John and Patti Kasper; son-in-law Paul Keiser; best friend Cindy (Bob) Phillips; bonus family Jazper Wiebusch; Melissa, Jeff, and Josh Rappel; Katrina Jestus and Denise Sill; and a host of cousins, aunts and uncles.
As a grateful recipient of a kidney transplant in 2012, Donna honored her donor by becoming a donor herself. Donna donated her body to the University of Minnesota Anatomy Bequest Program in the hope that doing so will help advance medical knowledge and improve the lives of others.
A private celebration of Donna's life will be held at the conclusion of the donation process.
Friends and family are encouraged to celebrate Donna's life by sharing memories of her and cherishing life's simple things like a good cup of coffee and chocolate.
In lieu of flowers, please consider supporting organizations near to Donna's heart such as the National Kidney Foundation, LifeSource, and/or a local dog rescue.
With the end of your life, the heavy weight was lifted, the pain you held was healed, and the peace you could only imagine now is real.

There will be a service of gratitude on June 7th, 2025, including Donna and others who donated their bodys to the University of Minnesota Anatomy Bequest Program. The U welcomes friends and families of donors in person or via live streaming.

Donna, we will miss you tons! I know how much you loved Braeden, your little buddy. You've been in my mom's life since I was a preteen, so basically my whole life. It was fun living down the street from you in Mounds View and so many other good memories over the years. I'm happy that you can now finally be at peace and no pain or health issues. We love you.
