Donna Roland

Donna Roland, 63, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away February 24, 2024, in Knoxville. She
was born to Francis and P.H. Carter on September 25, 1960, in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Donna had a zest for life that never grew old. She always tried to find the bright spot in every situation, and the best in everyone that she met. Donna was the life of every party, and people loved to be around her. She loved to travel, was always open to new experiences, and loved to spend time at the beach and at the lake with her family and friends.

Her family meant the world to her, and that was evident in everything that she did. She put others first, and always made sure everyone had everything that they needed. She loved and adored spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Donna committed her life to life to helping others, and in doing so, she touched a countless number of lives. She was always the first to help, never asking for anything in return.

Donna was, and will remain an inspiration to many. She fought every battle head on and she never gave up. She was brave, and she was a fighter and no matter what situation she faced, she never gave up. Donna will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit and memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff Roland; her sisters, Teresa Freshour (husband Jimmy Freshour), Debra Westerhold, and Diane Carter; her children, Amanda Carter (husband Thomas Hancock), Brittany Hong, and Jaimee Hong; her stepchildren, Jessica Pruitt (husband Daniel Pruitt), Jami Roland, and Jeffrey Roland (wife Brittany Roland); and her grandchildren, Bee and
Bryli Holt, Adalyn and Lincoln Pruitt, and Blair and Huck Roland, as well as her numerous nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her daughter, Angel Christine Crawford; her sister, Linda Carter; and her parents, Francis and P. H. Carter.

A Celebration of Life for Donna will be held at The Pavilion at Hunter Valley Farm on March 8,
2024, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. As many of you know, Donna was quite the fashionista and could never pass up an opportunity to wear a fun hat. Please feel free to wear a hat to her Celebration of Life in her honor.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Cancer Support Community East Tennessee
or the Survivor Fitness Foundation.
