Donna Watterson Obituary

Donna Watterson, 73, a lifelong resident of Ford City, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, in Armstrong County Health Center. Born Nov. 20, 1941, in Manor Township, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Lillian Hileman Watterson. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Montgomery Ward in Kittanning. She was a life member of First Baptist Church in Ford City. Donna enjoyed the fellowship of her church family and going out to lunches with them. She was a very active member of her church and served on many boards, including the Board of Christian Education and Board of Deaconesses. She was a member of the American Baptist Women's Group and was formerly in charge of the church's mission work. Donna was loved by the members of her church, young and old. She also was a member of the 45 minute variety Sunday school class and always attended Bible studies. She was a member of the choir and loved singing God's praises and the old hymns. She was ready to meet her Lord and Savior. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Watterson. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Mabel Watterson, of Ford City; two nephews, Jeffrey Watterson, of Rural Valley, and Lance Hromadik, of Ford City; a niece, Stacy and Jason Myschisin, of Ford City; great-nieces, Ashley, Sheila and Jessica; and great-nephew, Michael. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church, Ford City, with Pastor Bob French officiating. There will be visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church. Interment will be in Ford City Cemetery. MANTINI FUNERAL HOME INC., Ford City, in charge of arrangements.
