Sorry to hear about your mothers death. I was away for pesach and just heard. Being a child of survivors your mother seemed like one of mine. She was a very feisty lady and it is hard to beleive that she is gone. Very sorry for your loss.

Jeanne & Jerry:
I was saddened to hear of your mother's passing. She called me several times since your dad's passing but it seemed that getting together just never happened.
I was going to call her since the weather was nice and meet her for lunch (which was our goal) , when my brother Pat called to let me know that she passed away and was buried without either of us knowing.
I will miss her phone calls and the way we laughed about things that happened while she was living in my home on Gertrude St., Hazelwood.
May you both be at peace knowing that she has touched many many people during her life.
She will be missed!!!

To the Iwler Family~
I remember well your parent's shop on Second Avenue. As a child, I often accompanied my Mother to pick up cleaning or tailoring, and was always impressed that your Mother greeted mine by name. Mrs. Iwler smiled so gently, and I have a memory of your father sitting in a chair behind the counter as he tinkered with some item of clothing.
When I was still young, I asked my Mom about your parents. She told me "When you're a little older, I'll tell you what I know about their lives." Later, as I came to understand, my respect for these 2 kind people deepened beyond words.
I will never forget.

Dear Jeanane and Jerry,
Your mother has been a friend of our family since she and your DAD, Izzy, arrived in Hazelwood. The shop was directly across from my mother's home (Second Ave. in Hazelwood)and Dora came over each day to watch soaps with my MOM and to call you both.
Their courage and example will remain with me all the days of my life I spoke of Dora to one of my children (the youngest) and she surely remembered her coming to MOM's house.
I will cherish their friendship to my MOM when she had joys, sorrows, and troubles. Your parents were always there for her.
Please forgive me for not attending services.
May God be with all of you.

I was sorry to hear of your Mother's death. I remember your stories of her survival of the Holocaust. You have our deepest sympathy.
