BETTS _ Doreen (nee Hayes) March 3, 1924 - November 18, 2008 Doreen Betts, beloved wife and best friend of Doug, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2008 at the age of 84 years. Doreen was born in Sunderland, Great Britain to Frank and Isabella (Betty) Hayes. The family immigrated to Canada in 1924 and resided in Banff, AB. Doreen met and married Doug in 1945. She loved to play golf, travel and spend time with her grandchildren. Besides her loving husband of sixty-three years, she is survived by her son Don and daughter-in-law Jane and her three cherished grandchildren, Nicole, Dan and Brian. She is also survived by her brother Don of Jasper, niece Terry and nephews Scott and Richard as well as numerous grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Jack and sisters-in-law, Dolly and Geo and her niece Lee. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Friday, November 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com .
