It is impossible to capture the impact of a person's life in a few words, all the more so when that person has welcomed so warmly, shared so generously, encouraged so deeply, and lived so faithfully as Doris Ernst. Never at a loss for a game, always ready with words of encouragement, rarely without a plan, humbly living out her Christian faith and mission, Doris' influence on my life (and others) has been deep and long-lasting. Though saddened by her loss, and especially what that means for her family who she loved, I am glad that she is now experiencing hospitality, love and celebration in an entirely new way in the presence of Christ and those who have gone before. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am sad for you girls in the loss of your mother, but glad for her in her entrance into the Lord's presence. I can just imagine her being welcomed by the Lord and also your dad and U Dave. Makes me want to be there too. I have such good memories of both your parents, even though I haven't seen any of you recently. I will be praying for you all through these days, and wish I could be with you.

Doris had a great heart for the Lord. She used her gift of being a wonderful cook to bless many, myself included. I'll always remember her Thanksgiving feast and how she patiently taught me to make gravy. She had a great sense of humor and told fantastic stories of her childhood. Doris was like family to me during the many years I spent in Philadelphia. Later we found out one of her brothers was AWANA leader to my husband when he was younger. Doris will be missed on this side of heaven.

Doris was so willing to help others, when they were in need. We had many good times together. I loved her pies and eating Thanksgiving dinner with her family. I will see her again in Heaven. My sympathies and prayers are with you.

Doris will be missed by many. I remember her faithfulness and concern for those especially serving the Lord in a missionary capacity. What a blessing she was to many. Praying that those who loved her will experience that peace which passes all understanding! May you know the love of the Lord ina special way at this time ❤!
