Dorothy BERTRAM Obituary

Published by Windsor Star on Jan. 6, 2018.
BERTRAM, Dorothy Mae
nee: Rusling
92 years. After a long and full life Dorothy passed away peacefully to once again walk hand and hand with her beloved husband Mel, to whom she shared over 54 years of marriage. She will be deeply missed by her children Ronald (Maryann), Robert (Donna), and Deborah. The role Dorothy loved most in life was that of grandmother and great- grandmother. Dorothy was a kind compassionate person who touched the lives of many people. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and the friends she has made along the way. Dorothy worked at Grace Hospital and upon retirement she volunteered at Huron Lodge and was a life- long member of The Eastern Star. Special thank you to the loving staff at Village of St. Clair nursing home. The family will receive friends at the

My sincere condolences to all in the family. Dorothy and I would, on occasion, and far too seldom, write letters back and forth. She had a gentle spirit and will be missed.

Bertram Family: Know that I am with you in spirit today as the weather is not permitting me to come in person to be with you all. Dorothy was a wonderful, loving and caring women and will be missed by all that knew and loved her. So many memories of the time spent through the years. Most of my children memories involved the Bertrams. So glad Dorothy, you are reunited with Mel. Rest in Peace. Thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. Dorothy was a fine and generous woman. She went out of her way a number of years ago inviting my wife, Joan, and I to a family reunion at her and Mel's place. We had a fine time and were made to feel very welcome. Dorothy was a delight and will be sorely missed.
God bless you, Dorothy, and may you find contentment and rest.

My deepest sympathies to the Bertram family for the loss of a wonderful lady. I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Bertram at her son Ron and daughter in law Mary's wedding in July of 2013. I spent quite sometime chatting with her as I found her one of the sweetest most endearing ladies I had the honor of meeting. May she Rest In Peace.

What can I say about our loving Aunt Dot? She was the one who gave us such special attention when it was unexpected and we needed it most. She made holidays thankful with her annual gift of warm cozy pajamas for all of us, keeping out the chill of winter. We called her our pajama aunt even as we grew older ourselves, and we will never forget her and the fun she brought to our lives. My siblings and I will miss her dearly,

I have fond memories of Dorothy and her husband Mel. Our families spent most of our summer vacations together at Miller Lake in Orillia when we were young and also spent most Thanksgivings and Easters at either Windsor or London. They were wonderful times. She was a wonderful, fun loving lady. May she rest in peace and rise in glory.
