Dorothy Brophy Obituary
She shared 60 years with her husband, William Brophy. Together they raised four daughters: Julie Brophy, Trempealeau , Laurie Brophy(Tom Saunders),Clinton TN and Pattie Brophy, Independence. Dorothy's daughter Angie preceded her in death, a loss that remained close to her heart.
Dorothy was the proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Her legacy lives on through them.
In her spare time, Dorothy loved crocheting, spending hours making afghans, baby blankets, scarfs and hats for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She would also crochet hats and donate them to local charities. Dorothy was also very talented in painting. Painting everything from Mountain sceneries on canvas to painting cute little creatures and making them come alive on on cutouts of wood. She also enjoyed fishing for many hours at a time. Enjoying the peace and tranquility of the outdoors.
A special thank you to her Grandson Luke (Tracy) Brophy for all the love and care they gave her in the end.
Dorothy's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

I worked with Dorothy for a few years along time ago. She was a wonderful friend. When I needed some money to make a payment to "hold" my buyer interest she did not hesitate. Without my asking she gave me a check for $500. I will never forget her goodness and generosity.
