DOROTHY V. (SHUSS)
Of Turtle Creek, formerly of North Versailles, age 93, died on Saturday, May 12 2018. Dorothy was born July 6, 1924 in Patton PA, to Albert and Clara (Airhart) Shuss. Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Stephen Duchai; loving mother of Judith (John) Anto of Staten Island, NY, Janet Duchai of Largo, FL, and Elaine (James) Duzyk of Hempfield Twp.; proud grandmother of Eric (Anna) Anto, Brian (Barbara) Anto, James (Laura) Duzyk, Courtney (Bob Cornell) Duzyk, and Scott (Amanda) Duzyk; and great-grandmother of Elizabeth, Keely, and McKeena Duzyk, and Bobby Cornell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Katherine "Kay" (Edward) Kutz, Alice C. (Frannie) McGill, Clarence "Bud" (Birdie) Shuss, and Francis "Pete" (Leota) Shuss. Dorothy retired from a career with Allegheny County in the Deed Registry Department. She was an active member of St. Colman Church, serving on the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary for many years. She was also a member of the Democratic Women's Committee for over 20 years. Friends welcome on Thursday 2-8 p.m. at PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., Turtle Creek/Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, PA 15145, 412-823- 9350. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Dorothy on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Colman Church. She will then be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery.
