On Saturday, December 6, 2014, Dorothy M. Gilford of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of Leon Gilford; great aunt of Steven and Michael Klein. Friends may call at Riderwood Village Chapel, 3110 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring, MD on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., where funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. Interment National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA. In memory of the lovely Ms. Gilford. I have the fondest memories of summers at your house and the warmth and kindness you and Mr. Gilford have always shown toward me. May you rest in peace and may Mr. Gilford find comfort at this difficult time.

I will miss you, the Federal Women's Award Winners Association members will also miss you and the world will continue to pay tribute to your significant achievements. I'm sure the Woman's Club of Chevy Chase has also missed the French Section over which you presided for so may years.
