Dorothy "Dottie" Mullane, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many, went home to the Lord on July 24, 2022 at 82 years of age.
Dottie was born on December 23, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Southern California as a young teenager with her family.
She graduated from California High School in Whittier.
In 1960, she married the love of her life, Donald "Don" Mullane. Together, they raised five children in Whittier and later, in Hacienda Heights.
A talented homemaker and devoted mom to her children and multiple pets, Dottie was very active in the various schools her children attended and their
many activities. At St. Mary's of the Assumption and then at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, she was a daily Mass attendant and a
frequent volunteer as an altar server and Eucharistic Minister. She worked with the homeless, with the SJV Food Bank and a variety of other ministries.
To the many people who loved her, Dottie "loved them more".
Dottie is survived by the love of her life and husband of 62 years, Don; her daughters Debbie Moreno (Jose), and Donna, her sons David (Kimmy),
Donald (Brittney) and Douglas and 4 grand children - Benjamin, Charlotte, William Moreno and Killian Mullane and great grand-daughter, Olivia Moreno.
There will be a short visitation and rosary from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, August 18 at Queen of Heaven Mortuary.
The Funeral mass will be held at St.John Vianney Church at 10:30 am on Friday, August 19, 2022.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the St. John Vianney Food Bank. The family extends its deepest thanks to everyone who
contributed to Dottie's long and blessed life.
