Dorothy Pagani Obituary

Dorothy M. (Dottie) Pagani died Saturday at the Commonwealth Regional Hospital of Scranton Hospice Unit following a brief illness.

Born Aug. 1, 1938, in Throop, Dorothy graduated from Throop High School in 1955. She then went on to graduate from the Scranton State Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse. Following graduation, she worked as a registered nurse for Mount Sinai Hospital, New York City, for more than 20 years. It was at Mount Sinai where she met the love of her life, her husband, Bob. When they married, she moved to Oceanside, N.Y., where she lived for another 20 years until her husband's death in 1997. She then moved to Toms River, N.J.

For the last four years and up to her death, she was a resident of the Clarks Summit Senior Living Center, Clarks Summit.

She will be remembered by all her family, friends and patients as a loving, caring and devoted person. Dottie always put others' needs before her own.

Dorothy is survived by her stepchildren, Albert Pagani, Toms River; and Claudia Bachman, Roseburg, Ore.; grandchildren, Sara Pagani and partner, Mark Huber, Medford, Mass.; and Karen Pagani and spouse, Olivier Boudou, Austin, Texas; great-grandchildren, Milane and Anatole Boudou, Austin; a sister, Barbara Dulney, Throop; a niece, Diane Mc-Manus and spouse, William P. McManus, Endwell, N.Y.; and nephews, Steven and spouse, Kim Dulney; and Tyler Dulney, Lake Ariel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pagani, in 1997; and her parents, Stephen and Mary Bakes.

The viewing will be Monday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the John F. Glinsky Funeral Home, 445 Sanderson St., Throop, with blessing services at 5 by Monsignor Michael Delaney.

Interment to be held at a later date at Calverton National Cemetery, New York.
