I was deeply saddened to learn about Doug´s passing. Doug and I were friends during our ninth-grade high school days. He invited me to his home and shared his passion for American rock music. Since neither of us could drive, we used to walk around the neighborhood, talking and simply enjoying each other´s company. What stands out the most in my memory about him is his unwavering kindness. I will always cherish that memory of him.

I only knew you for a short time, but I gained an incredible amount of wisdom from your grace. The world just got a little more dim but I am sure, wherever you may... be is much brighter.

Doug was one of the kindest people we have ever known. Easy to talk to and had a welcoming nature.
Doug will be missed and is loved by all that have known him.
God bless him and his family during this sad time.

If memory serves me correct, Julie and I became friends around the age of 4 growing up in Dallas, which is when I also met Doug - Julie´s big brother. He always had a great sense of humor and would sometimes play pranks on us. Many years later as a teen, he typed up a poetry book and handed out copies. He had a gift for words.
Fast forward, while he was passing through Denver truck driving, which is where I have lived since 2002, we made arrangements to hang out and catch up. We reminisced about our childhood and caught up on our lives as adults.
That was the last time I saw him. :-(
My heart breaks for his choice and I never saw this coming, as I´m sure no one else did. While this may never make sense, know that there are people close and far that love and cherish the family and have nothing condolences to send.

Doug was such a sweet man! He was smart with his words. I will never forget our conversation about him publishing his book! He was so proud of his success in writing! He loved picking up his clients when he drove Uber and the people loved him! Doug I will always remember your sweet smile and soft spoken to so many! God Bless you and I pray you are in the comfort of Jesus arms! You will be missed! Beverly Beseda

My condolences to all of Doug´s family and friends, and a big hug to my Uncle Albert. What sadness this brings, and so sorry for this huge loss in your life. I got to know Doug more through Facebook. He will be so missed. Sending love from Canada.

Very sad to hear my cousin passed away. Although we met only once, sometime in the seventies when we were both kids and he was visiting his family in the Netherlands, I have a clear memory of him.
He was my big cousin from the States!
I wish all his friends and family the best with this sad loss.
With love,
Jasper
