To the Dupuis family...please accept our deepest sympathies. Doug was a very special person and a friend to so many. He loved to tease, always had a smile and a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Doug and my late brother Roger were very good friends and Doug became like a brother to the rest of the Israel family. Doug & I became e-mail buddies some years ago and he often mentioned his sons. He was so very proud of them. He often talked about Sharon...he missed her so much. We will miss you Doug! Mar & Gord.

Steve and Jason,
I can’t begin to tell you how very sorry I am for your loss. His passing has caused a profound whole in my life that no one will ever be able to fill. I have so many fond memories of living with and looking after you boys during the summers and the many holidays while growing up. You were my extended family and I maintained that close relationship with Doug throughout the years. He was also fondly thought of by my own husband and boys who spent several days with him on the links during our visits. I will cherish the last time I spoke with him at my oldest son’s wedding. The trip he made simply because I asked him to, as was his way in all things.
Doug; I know you are back with the love of your life and that puts a smile on my face. I will never forget you and I look forward to those subtle reminders that you are watching over us during those quiet times when I think of you.

To the Dupuis family,
Especially Jason, Steve and Laurie,
Doug was special, not only to you, but to all those he met. He had a unique way to make everyone feel important. Sometimes while cutting them up, but you could laugh and still feel good after talking with him.
We were blessed to have Doug as a friend who lived in the neighbourhood. He could be counted on at any time to give a helping hand. Neighbours, friends or relatives, it didn't matter, when someone was in need, he was there.
Every time we spoke with Doug, for 18 years, he would speak of the love of his life, Sharon. They are finally together again.
The corner will never be the same, but the stories and memories will keep a smile on our faces.
We'll never forget him.
With Love,
Bill Parent
