My deepest condolences I met Dr Glass many years ago and he truly saved my life. The doctors didn´t believe I´d live after giving birth to my Asher and he promised me he´d keep me alive. I am who I am because of him. I know what I know and what I don´t know because of him. I asked Dr Glass to mentor me through my NP school after being his patient for over a decade. He said absolutely not so I visited him 3 more times and the last time I cried until he said yes. He was a tough mentor and I cried a lot that next year, but refused to leave. He always used to say you can´t practice medicine until you learn the art. He did not believe in a visual exam. Dr Glass taught me how to listen with my stethoscope and palpate the liver and I´ll never forget how proud he was of me when I found my first vascular murmur. I still to this day never miss a LDL or a patient gaining a pound. I also know when NOT to treat a patient. I´ll never forget his patient complained of symptoms of a heart attack and all her family came in fear and he put his arm on her shoulder and sent her home. I was so confused and he said that´s the art of medicine- that woman has a broken heart because her husband passed. I asked him how I would know and he said you just do. Last week my patient said I´m so stressed and I responded I know (just like Dr Glass would) and she looked at me perplexed and questioned how I knew. I responded gently because you always clear your throat when you´re stressed. It was a magical moment for me and sad because I couldn´t share that with him. I´m carrying on your torch Dr Glass and I still never stand up during a visit or touch the door handle because you never wanted a patient to feel like they didn´t matter or were being rushed. I will never forget you

I first met Dr. Glass in 1980 at Highland Park Hospital. I wasn't doing too well and my Crohn's disease was in full force. He is the ONLY Doctor that ever helped me. He went on to help my mother-in-law, sister-in-law and brother-in-law and countless others. He was one of a kind when it came to caring for his patients. He always had a hug for you when you were leaving after a visit and you always felt that he cared about you and what you were going through. He was a great diagnostician and prolonged the life of his patients by who knows how long. I don't know how many people I recommended to go and see him (if they wanted to feel/do better). He will be missed by countless people that knew and loved him. I send condolences to his family. So sad to hear of his passing.

I first met Dr Glass through my late wife whose life was saved by Dr Glass. My first visit he corrected previous diagnosis and cured my illness that I suffered five years prior. Dr Glass is our Hero and without him we wouldn´t have had our three sons. He wasn´t satisfied with patients feeling 90% he said why not 100%. He was such a dedicated caring physician over 40yrs for our family. Dr Glass and his family is always in our prayers especially at this time for their strength, comfort and knowing how much quality of life he imparted on others. We miss you.

I met Dr Glass when he was an intern at Billings Hospital around 1972. He was observing my stomach surgery for Crohn's with Dr Musa and Dr Kirshner. About 1976 I needed a gastro doctor and as fate would have it a friend I made at Billings was seeing Dr Glass and had me go see him. At that time my Crohn's had flared up again and I was very sick. Dr Glass got me well and kept me that way for over 40 years with no more surgery's. He not only was my doctor but my friend who I could talk to about more than my health. Funny side note, being a magician I preformed at one of his son's Bar Mitzvah's.
Even when I retired from sales and moved to Arizona in 2019 I still kept Dr Glass as my doctor and would see him twice a year when I returned to Chicago.
I have to say I believe he saved my life and kept me healthy.
I will miss him. Tom Spera

Dr. Glass was my gastro doctor as well as PCP. He took care of me through my many, many illnesses and personal trials. As of his retirement, he took great care of me since the birth of my twin daughters, for over 41 years.
May he rest in peace. God speed.

Dr. Glass was my Father's physician. My Father and I have high regard for him. My Father was his longest patient I believe. (Jack Smith). He was always positive and caring. Very sad to hear of his passing.
