To the Nelson family: We are but pilgrims passing through this journey called life. Each of us will travel until the day we are called home! I can't wait to reach that city where the streets are paved with gold, every one you meet greets you smiles and to be able to simply bask in his prescense! Oh what a time! Don't fret, but do mourn, our son, brother, nephew, cousin, and uncle Duane has ended his journey here, but his life has just begun. We who remain here left to journey on...May the peace of God keep you and the comfort of God envelope each of you, by his blood, the cross and His resurrection!!!

TO DUANE

We are here in body and in spirit, to see off one of our best friends. It is not a good-bye, but more of "see you later". For we know that we will see him again.

We will not dwell on the negative things that life sometimes brings to us, but we will remember the good that Duane brought into our lives.

We will remember the smile that he gave to us whenever he saw us.
We will remember the jokes that he shared with us.
We will remember the childlike laughter that we heard coming from him.
We will remember the strong sense of friendship that made us want to be around him.
And, we will remember the fact that we all called him our "FRIEND".

We are here to share the live and times that we have in our hearts for Duane, and we will share all the good that we have for our friend.

So, now in our last words to him... we say,
"SEE YOU LATER"!

To the family of Duane Nelson I offer my deepest sympathy. As with many others I was a classmate of Duane's at Central High School. He was always repectful, pleasant and fun to be around. As with many other classmates and friends even though we aren't always in touch, you never forget thoses that impacted and graced our lives such as Duane. We don't always see each other or stay in touch but there is always a connection. Even as the years go by we are still share a bond that can never be broken, memories that can never be erased. God Bless and RIP Duane.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Duane, An amazing man. A gift.
As I reflect in the years that I have known Duane- I am so thankful that we appreciated each other's views and unique ideals. My experience was so priceless that it is difficult to fully express. Our conversations were always an adventure and often so funny. It's amazing how you meet a person and are exposed to opportunities/circumstances that you would have never dreamed that you be exposed to. All while being treated with such great respect and as a friend. He was never better than I. He was always interested in how my husband & family and grandkids were doing. He always remembered everyone's names- which was amazing in itsself. It's an honor to call Duane a friend. I look forward to seeing him again some day.

Love & Light and blessings to all who know Duane. We are blessed.
