Duane Oestreich Appleton - Duane Oestreich, age 75, of Appleton, passed away on Wednesday April 26, 2023 at his home. Duane was born on October 22, 1947 to Merlin and Mildred Oestreich. He married Carol Ann Schoblaske on August 23, 1969 at St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Oshkosh. He attended UW-Madison and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy in 1970. He worked as a pharmacist in Fond du Lac, WI, Sarasota, FL and in Appleton, WI.

Duane loved sports and was a big fan of the Brewers, Packers, Badgers, Bucks and Timber Rattlers. He also enjoyed automobiles, especially race cars and enjoyed going to events at the Road America race track in Elkhart Lake, WI. Duane also loved going out on his boat and fishing with Carol and enjoyed taking family and friends for a boat ride in the summertime.

Duane is survived by his son Jeff (Rhonda) Oestreich; one brother, Ronald Oestreich; one brother-in-law, Jon (Ann) Schoblaske; one sister-in-law, Rose Schoblaske; three grandchildren, Max, Sam and George Oestreich; and his beloved cat Lucy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Merlin & Mildred Oestreich; his wife, Carol Oestreich; his brother-in-law Tom Schoblaske; and his older brother and his wife, Terry & Charlene Oestreich.

A small private gathering will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park in Oshkosh.
