Dustin "Raze" Pike, age 28, of Sturgis, MI passed away Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012 at the Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo, MI. He was born Oct. 5, 1983 in Sturgis, MI a son to Lloyd Pike Jr. and Bonnie Jarratt. Dustin spent most of his life in the Sturgis area and had moved to Grand Rapids, MI in 2008 to work with the 61syx Teknique Street Dance Academy and earlier this year had lived in Las Vegas where he studied crews in the world of urban dance arts. He recently moved back to Sturgis to pursue his passion and living his dream of teaching break dancing to youth at the Dance Center Stage in the Maple Crest Plaza. His passion and whole life revolved around Hip Hop, professional break dancing, and the world of urban dance arts. Survivng are fiancé: Elizabeth Ramirez and unborn son: Ryu Dustin Pike of Grand Rapids, MI; father: Lloyd Pike and mother Bonnie Jarratt both of Sturgis, MI; sister: Kelli (Alex) Runyon of East Leroy, MI; brother: Carl (Shelby) Van Voorhees of Phoenix, AZ; Aunts and Uncles: Michael (Betty Pike) Lytle of Sturgis, MI, Larry (Carolyn) Pike of Jefferson City, TN, Sylvia (Gary) Clouse of Sturgis, MI, Duane Jarratt of Parchment, MI, Keith and Cody Jarratt of Constantine, MI; Grandmothers: Dottie Pike of Jefferson City, TN and Janet Jarratt of Centreville, MI; 3 nieces, 2 nephews, and many many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Lloyd Pike Sr. and Duane Jarratt Sr. The family will receive friends and relatives from 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00 P.M., Sunday, at the Hackman Family Funeral Home - Rosenberg Chapel, 807 E. Chicago Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091 Services celebrating the life of Dustin "Raze" Pike will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, at the Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 300 Timothy Dr., Sturgis, MI 49091 with the Rev. Ross Gerber, officiating. Interment and graveside services will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be given to the family to help with expenses, envelopes are available at the funeral home.
