Dylan Honnoll Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 4, 2024.
Dylan Honnoll, born on December 13, 2003, raised in Rogers, Minnesota, passed away tragically at the young age of 20 on July 12, 2024.

Dylan was an enthusiastic go getter who burned the candle at both ends chasing life. He was a lover of the outdoors with passion for skiing, fishing, backpacking, golf and hiking. He loved music, all kinds, and it really impacted him. Dylan also had an intense passion to play sports, particularly basketball, football and soccer. He cherished his High School years playing soccer and kicking for the football team. However, the most important thing to Dylan was always family and friends.

Dylan graduated from Rogers High School and was pursuing higher education at Montana State University. He was a proud member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, where he was admired and recognized for his leadership qualities and his strong work ethic. Dylan's radiant personality and big smile endeared him to his peers and community.

He is survived by his loving parents, Jill and Michael Honnoll; his brothers, Peyton and Garrett Honnoll; and his grandparents, Maryann Larson, Larry Larson, and Linda Honnoll.

A service to celebrate Dylan's life will be held at Word of Peace Lutheran Church in Rogers, MN, on Saturday, August 24th. Visitation will begin at 12:30 pm, with the service starting at 2:00 pm. There will be a light reception following the service at the church.

We will remember Dylan as our beautiful son, a beacon of light, a wellspring of happiness, a lover of life, an authentic human being and an extremely fun person to be around. His spirit and legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. His music will never stop playing!

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Red Lodge Fire and Rescue in Dylan's name.

I was Dylan´s 2nd grade teacher at Hassan Elementary. I remember him as a smart, kind, and athletic boy with a strong moral compass. Later, my daughter Maddie nannied the Honnoll boys for a summer. We both loved his contagious smile and are happy he lived so much life in 20 years.

We met Dylan and his family through MQP Preschool. We always looked forward to seeing Dylan, Jill and the boys at drop-off and pick-up. Dylan had an amazing smile, was bight-eyed, outgoing and fun. Just an amazing individual. We will greatly miss him.

Dylan was one of my best friends at MSU. He lived across the hall from me last year. No matter what crazy idea I usually would propose he would jump on board or propose something crazier. This specific memory was a last minute Thursday night concert listening to Jai Wolf. Him and I and a couple other buddies made it to the very front row. Most fun concert I have been to. With Dylan beside me we danced nonstop for the entire concert, no bathroom or water breaks. Afterwords we learned Jai Wolf posted a video of Dylan and I dancing on his instagram story shouting out how much we were into the music. An amazing memory with a man I respected and admired and was proud to call my friend
