May God continue to be a source of strength and courage during this difficult time of transition for your loved ones. Uncle Earl welcomed me into his family with much love the moment Vanessa introduced us. She often spoke of him with much love and admiration. I later learned why. The moment I saw him I felt as though I was seeing my father's brother. Both their spirits was infectious, genuine and delightful. I certainly did understand the love Vanessa and her family showered him with. He was a true gem of a man. When I think of him, a smile will always appear as I will know his life was well celebrated. The Hicks family can rest assured that you truly have your very own angel watching over you until your souls meet again. Keep the faith.
Prayerfully,
Angela Gibson and Family....Lake Spivey, Ga

Uncle Earl, your words of comfort to me will never be forgotten during hard tmes. I will draw from them now more than ever. "Everything will be alright." Those are the words I will always remeber you by. I will always remember your strength and determination to never let your problems fall on anyone else. You remained the pillar of strength around everyone, despite your own aches, pains or challenges. You were my navigation system no matter where I traveled. I could be in Georgia and I still needed you for directions. You called me 2 or 3 times on all my out of state trips, just to make sure I didn't end up in another state, other than the one I intended to be in :-). I love you dearly Uncle Earl and I am grateful my girls got to know and love their Great Uncle too. Love Vanessa (niece),
