James Edward Duff, "Eddie", age 86 died on Thursday, December 04, 2014 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born the son of Edward L. & Lucinda (Stanifer) Duff on July 24, 1928 in Franklin, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother Donald Duff. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Naomi (Heck) Duff, daughters Jackie (George) Compton of Florida and Lori (Andrew) Barnhill of Enon, a son Randy (Marcie) Duff of Lebanon, sister Betty Reynolds, grandchildren Pam (Wayne) Sabin, Jay (Cathy) Compton, Kara (Chris ) Bungard, Matthew (Nikki) Duff, and Betsy Duff, 12 great grandchildren, and his beloved dog "Mister". Eddie was member of Asbury United Methodist in North Hampton of 65 years, a Mason for 49 years, including York Rite, Knights of Templar, and a clown for the Shriners known as "Duffy" for 22 years. He believed a day fishing was a perfect day. He served 12 years for the Army National Guard earning the rank of Master Sargent. Eddie will be missed by all who love him. Friends may call in the Rose Hill Burial Park Chapel, 4781 South Charleston Road Springfield, Ohio on Saturday, December 6, 2014 10AM to 11AM where services will be held at 11AM.
