Edna M. LeMay, 86 of Sterling, died Tuesday, October 22, 2019, surrounded by her family, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. Edna was born on September 15, 1933 in Effingham, the daughter of John and Nellie (Vollmer) Boos. She married Robert P. LeMay on August 21, 1954 in Effingham. He preceded her in death on October 21, 2001. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sterling. Edna loved playing any kind of game, especially, Bridge and Bunko and hosting "Games with Edna" with her fellow Heritage Woods residents. She enjoyed being social, but most of all, loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her two daughters, Carol (Tim) Kopplin of Waterloo, WI and Mary Lynn (Bill) Macke of Sterling; two sons, Dr. Jeffrey P. (Susan) LeMay of Sterling and Colonel Scott P. (Anne) LeMay, USAF, retired, of Lorton, VA; seventeen grandchildren, Emily (John) Sturdy, Erin Kopplin, Jon Kopplin, Sheldon Macke, Zach Macke, Sara (Andy) Ohrtman, Katie (Kevin) McCarthy, Mike (Lyndi) LeMay, Amy (Kyle Ruch) LeMay, Mary Sue (Jared) Kelly, John (Makenzi) LeMay, Luke (Alyssa) LeMay, Patrick LeMay, Moira LeMay, Katie LeMay, Shane LeMay and Bridget LeMay; and three great grandchildren, James and Claire Ohrtman and Eleanor LeMay. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and five siblings, Leonard Boos, Dorothy Lange, Sally Courter, Donald Boos and Madeline Boos. Visitation will be Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sterling with the Rosary recited at 3:45 P.M. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sterling with Reverend Bruce Ludeke and Reverend Paul White, Concelebrating. Burial with a graveside committal will be held at 4:00 P.M. at Washington Street Cemetery in Casey, IL. All local family and friends are welcome to join the family at the graveside service. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sterling, Heritage Woods in Sterling or the CGH Health Foundation, Respiratory Care Dept.
