CONLEY, Edward Francis Of Walpole, formerly of Jamaica Plain, died on January 6, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was 96 years old. Beloved husband of Margaret P. "Peg" (Naughton) Conley of Walpole with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. Loving father of Irene Taylor and her partner Bob of Nashua, NH, Timothy Conley and his wife Sheila of Walpole, Siobhan Conley (Blount) of West Roxbury and Maura McKenna and her husband Brian of Peabody. Cherished "Papa" of eight grandchildren Courtney, Timothy, Meaghan, Brianna, Connor, Maggie, Deirdre and Katrina; and great-grandfather of Stella. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Ed was predeceased by his parents William J. and Irene (Roche) Conley and his brothers William J. Conley and his wife Elizabeth, Paul V. Conley of Cambridge and Robert L. Conley and his wife Marjorie of Longmeadow. Ed loved spending time with the love of his life Peg and they were at their happiest when out on the dance floor. Ed was an avid gardener with a passion for roses. Ed humbly served his country in World War II in the United States Army and was a longtime employee of the City of Cambridge. Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, January 16th at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, WEST ROXBURY, from 4-8 pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Tuesday, January 17th at 9 am. followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Name Church at 10 o'clock. To livestream the Funeral Mass, go to www.harborview.live.
