Edward W. "Big Ed" Fales

Edward "Big Ed" Fales died peacefully at his home in Needham on July 1, 2016 at the age of 77. Ed was born on October 23, 1938 in Medford, MA to the late Edward and Helen Fales formerly of Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School. He served in the US Army Reserves. He married his beloved wife Carol Aquino of Allston in 1972. After moving to Needham in 1972 Ed went on to hold several Sales Manager roles before opening F&M Associates. "Big Ed's" children will always remember him as a gentle and very respectful father who encouraged them to be kind, strong and always have a sense of humor. Ed was an accomplished Sales Manager and business owner. He was a loyal friend and confidant to his family and many, many friends. Ed loved to bowl and play golf and was a 35 year member of the Needham Golf Course. He was also a dedicated member of over 35 years and past President of the Village Club of Needham. Ed was the beloved husband for 44 years of Carol Ann (Aquino) Fales and the loving father of Edward Fales and his wife Nancy of Melrose, Barbara Ropke of North Berwick, Maine, Michael Fales and his wife Kristen of Franklin, and Daniel Fales and wife Kristyn of Webster and the late David Fales. Also survived and adored by his 5 loving granddaughters; Krista, Hailey, Chloe, Kendyl and Kallie. Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Wednesday July 6th from 3pm-7pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Joseph Church, 1362 Highland Ave Needham on Thursday July 7th at 10AM. Interment with Military Honors at St. Mary's Cemetery. A reception to celebrate "Big Ed's" life will follow at the Village Club in Needham.
