Ed's retirement "diploma" picture that I drew for him...
Robert Michelson
December 25, 2012
Ed was a mentor for me as a new engineer at the Georgia Tech Engineering Experiment Station. I knew him to be a Christian man when others typically hid their faith. I worked with Ed on the Environment and Radar Operation Simulator program (my first large engineering endeavor) for three years in the mid 70s. I was thinking of him today (24 December 2012) and decided to Google his name, expecting that I might find an obituary, as I have. So sorry to see him gone, but also looking forward one day to seeing him again. (I drew the attached "Analog Power" picture for him in honor of his retirement from Georgia Tech EES)

I remember, fondly, my years of working for and with Ed during the '50s and '60s at Georgia Tech. Ed was not only a good "boss" but a good friend and mentor. He took this young Georgia Tech graduate and taught me to be a "real" engineer! I learned so much from him, it would be hard to begin to relate it all! He will be missed, but long remembered.. Carolyn and family, My thoughts and prayers go out to you. Ed was a wonderful husband, father, and neighbor. I am blessed to have known someone who was so genuine and loving of those around him. He also had an unstoppable curiosity and a fascination for how things work.
