Edward Goljan Obituary

Edward F. Goljan, 90, of Boylston, formerly of Uniondale, New York, and Sun City, Arizona, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010 at home, with his family by his side. He was predeceased by his wife, Wanda; his sister, Cecilia Powers; and a grandson, Keith Goljan.

He is survived by his three children: Edward F. Goljan, Jr., M.D. and his wife Joyce of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Barbara J. Fahs and her husband, William, of Huntington Station, New York; and Walter K. Goljan, M.D. and his wife, Maureen, of Boylston, with whom he lived.

PopPops was proud of his twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, and enjoyed his wide circle of friends.

Edward was a first generation American, a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran, and a CPA.

Up to the time of his sudden illness, he was an avid golfer, did weekly crossword puzzles, and worked five days a week at his son's office.

The funeral Mass to honor his life will be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church, 640 Main St., Shrewsbury on Saturday, February 13th at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Boylston. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Church Capital Campaign, 20 Summer St., Shrewsbury 01545 or to St. John's High School, 378 Main Street, Shrewsbury 01545.

The Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, is directing arrangements.
