Edward Haynes Obituary
The youngest of five surviving children of Henry and Marie (Jozwicki) Haynes, he was predeceased by his two brothers, Joseph and Henry (Buddy), and one sister, Virginia Pedota. His remaining sister, Helen Sasso, followed him in death one week later.
A graduate of Central Needle Trades school in NYC, Eddie was a tailor by trade, specializing in leather and shearling, and working for many years in the garment industry, notably at Highlander in Newark, NJ and later at Searle in NYC. Talented and creative, he enjoyed thrifting and upcycling, sewing, crocheting and gardening. Our "Papa" loved to tinker, cook, decorate, host holidays and enjoy his family. Visits to his house always meant good meals and lots of laughs, with the added benefit of mended clothes. Generous, kind and a caretaker by nature, he was the heart of our family and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his two stepchildren, Ronald (Adrin) Piretti and Marlene (Paul) Lockhart; six grandchildren, Eric (Corinne) Meudt, Christine (Jeroen Oomen) Meudt, Jonathan (Patricia) Meudt, Michelle (Riccardo) Gale, Tom Coughlin and Carolyn (Corry) Clark; six great-grandchildren, Jacqulynn Meudt, Tyler Gale, Brody Gale, Sammy Meudt, Cayden Clark and Callie Clark; and great-nephew Joseph Fox, along with many loving family members.

He taught me how to make the best meatballs and meatloaf on the planet. Always kind and generous. He made me a gorgeous black leather dress and always on a mend. Greatest memories in Lake George forever in my heart. RIP Eddie, Rosanne
