Beloved husband of Jo Ann Fontenot Lewis.
Father of Lisa Lewis Sylvest, Edward F. Lewis, Jr. (Renee) and Christina Lewis.
Son of the late Wilfred E. Lewis, Sr. and Mable Bourg Lewis.
Brother of Linda Lewis Phillips, Wilfred Eugene Lewis, Jr. Bubby, Freddy Lewis, Brenda Lewis Deoche, Judy Lewis Drury and Steve Lewis.
Also survived by 8 grandchildren; Jake, Krystle, Brittany, Ernest, Joshua, B.J., Victoria and Breanna; and 4 great grandchildren.
Age 64 years; a native of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell since 1986. Mr. Lewis was an Air Condition Technician for Lewis Air Conditioning of Slidell and was an avid bowler.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 1:00pm. Visitation will be from 11:00am until 1:00pm.

Joann and Family,
Words cannot express how very sorry we are to hear of Eddie's passing. How truly blessed we are to have known him! He was an amazing man with the ability to make everyone around him laugh. Uncle Eddie was a great man. He always had a smile on his face and made everyone laugh. He was always there for his family and friends in need. He will be missed dearly. Joann, very sorry to hear about Eddie. I didn't know of his health issues. Eddie was always quick and reliable to help out with my A/C problems and just a nice guy to be around. If their is anything I can be of help with please let me or Tee know. Again,so sorry and best wishes for the future. Tee and Ted.

So sorry to hear about Eddie's passing. Will always remember the good times we had bowling & traveling together. No matter how tough life was, Eddie always seemed to have a smile on his face. I was saddened to hear the news of Eddie's passing. I'm one of his old grammar school classmates from Holy Trinity and I had hope to see him at one of our reunions. I remember him as a happy young man with a smile.
To the family, I've lost my husband and my son his dad when he was only 19. It is a difficult time now but with Gods help you with get through this time of grieving. God bless you and hold you close at this time.

Mr. Eddie, I don't really know what to say. I still think of the way you would make that baby cry noise to cheer me up when I was little when I needed a laugh. I'm just sorry that I didn't get to see you after I quit working at USA. I will miss you.
