Orlowski, Edward John, age 81, of Brooklyn passed away in Jackson at Highland Home for the Aged on January 19, 2004. Edward was born in Jackson on May 30, 1922, the son of Frank and Helen (Pacewicz) Orlowski. He married Lois (Gajewski) Orlowski on February 26, 1949, in Lansing, MI and she survives. Mr. Orlowski was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus #7945, and Polish Legion of American Veterans #83. He served our country in the U.S. Army Air Corp. in the South Pacific during WWII. Ed was employed at Rockwell Standard for 25 years during which time he made his home and raised his family in Chelsea, MI. Mr. Orlowski was also a partner/owner of Xact Products in Brooklyn. Ed retired in 1986. Along with his wife of 54 years, Ed is survived by his children: David (Patsy) Orlowski of Clinton; MarcyAnne (Richard) Bollinger of Chelsea; Constance (Patrick) Doher of Jackson; Deborah Orlowski of Chelsea; Roxanne (Bradley) Angelocci of Chelsea; Jacqueline (Thomas) Zaski of Woodstock, GA; Brothers: Stanley Orlowski and Bernard (Mary) Orlowski of Jackson; Sisters: Dolores (James) Hawley, Helen (Donald) Rhodes of Jackson; 14 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother: John Orlowski; sister: Theresa Wilmoth; and grandsons: Thomas Lee and Kevin Bollinger. A Celebration of Mr. Orlowski’s life will be held on Friday, January 23, 2004, beginning with prayers at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Rita Catholic Church at 11 A.M. with Father Lehr Barkenquest officiating. Interment Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Chelsea at 3:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to St. Rita or St. Mary Catholic Church, Chelsea, Hospice of Jackson & Oaklawn, or the Interfaith Shelter. Envelopes will be available at the Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Braun Chapel, Brooklyn, where family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. and Thursday from 2-8 P.M. with a Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m.
